Inscription

Culled from within these deepest recesses
A deep-buried desire awakens
Where sheet and sweet flesh conspire
To trace the night over morning
To grace my eyes with overexposure
A world where touch pierces the skin
Reaches within, and exposes every nerve
Sensation breaches the surface of iced lakes
Whose depths hid long before, these waking moments
Who now thrash at the shoulders
Clash at the borders, of the mortal and the divine
Keeping time in breaths withheld
Each drawn line an invitation to hell
Where pleasure stills all else and swells
The vein, a cleansing rain to clear away the day
Before the evening storm comes to take her fill
Chaos in the eye, purity on the vine
A secret communique between the flesh and mind
A breath on the neck, a poison mainlined
That awakens, intoxicates, and weakens defenses
Each moment dressed as an invitation
To her chambers, where every expelled effort
Demands more, draws her thighs to my hips
A quiver, nails draw blood to the surface
Her whisper-breaths lead me in
Every touch ignites the eyes
As this wondrous death invokes in the flesh
A fire somewhere beneath the ash
Where worlds are formed of passion
And glass-eyed addiction, and encase in them
The powerful and potent, whose keys open every door
Though he dares lie imprisoned within her eyes a moment
And inscribe upon her skin, an offering rarely given
I, enthralled by your gifts, captivated by this presence
Offer a view to which precious few have been witness
Whose depths lie far beneath the surface
Whose flames kiss the waves into mist
That the rain may rise before them
And mark these skies where I
Step light, but burn bright
In my trespasses within.
