I wouldn't dare breathe
This air so heavy with
Days seized and strangled
Minds left mangled by
These questions, this schizophrenic
Moment, is all I've ever been
A little too loud and
Far too quiet
A little too proud to be so
Self-deprecating
I wouldn't dare believe
In me, I haven't the faintest idea
Where I'm going, but I know me
And I know I'll learn to fly before
The road ends
Too far gone
To consider turning back
Far too lost now
To change direction
So I'll pay the ferryman
And I'll see
What dreams lie an ocean
Away from me.
