You may ask me of my penchant for love
Of those passions which drive my soul
Through the darkest of nights and
The brightest days
Of my will to fight to the last breath
For that which I might never have
Of the strength which keeps me whole
When the weight of the world rests on my soul
You may ask me of my many scars
Of those marks scribed deep into my heart
That strengthen the walls I have built and
Remind me to love outside them
Of the loyalty I have ever forged
For those who look into my open doors
Of the dreams that keep me on course
Through the wickedest of storms
You may ask me, and I will show you
You may know me, and I will stay true
To all that makes me
That sees me through
In a world of indifference
I offer my passion
To light a path you've not seen yet
And traverse the stars with you.
