Daylight dies over a thousand arms raised to the sky
Withered and lifeless, scratching at the clouds
Praying to free the light from their grasp
And wrecked by her eyes, I lie quiet
I want to say everything, I dare not speak
And between flashes of blue-white
This madness continues through the night
The shadows hold close what we couldn't deny
The last blow to hope burns in her mind
And maybe I killed time, maybe I'm the murderer
Maybe my broken design, is the worst of her
And when she screams, aims, and fires
I'll return to Earth
Daylight lies just over the mountains
They swear they know me by where I've been
I scratch it all out, and carve my name in the flesh
Of the hell I was given, where I've sown the seeds of Eden.
