Rehabilitating the Never Broken

The invisible, raining sutures on the wind
Keep this mystical, I am your only friend
Burn it down chase the dragon
Not a sound make this habit
We are the empty stars
Reigning fire skies
Turning to face the angel in her grave
Turning to face the angel she's changed
Metamorphosed into the new slave
Wings chained to our eyes
Hands bound in disguise
Burden me now with your artificial light
Burn me now with your fiery sunrise

All the faceless soldiers
Fire at no one

The night follows
Pitch dark swallows
The black hole gallows
We all fall
We're all wrong
Where all stars call
To the names
Listless fame
Reclaimed in the face
Of nothing ever stays

All of the children
Go blind in their hearts

Make an ocean from this lake
Drink it down
Shake the bottle
See what comes out
Not a dream but the sorrow leaking
From the ground to the ceiling
Melting invisible streams of noise
No choice left to fake
Just break down
Take down your hopes
Dispose of them in the empty dumpster
With the bodies of all past lovers
Forget it, you're above her now
At least six feet
Sixty if she drowned
Beneath the disease they swore
They never knew about

All of the living gods
Will die in our songs

The invisible sutures
Staining mystical rumored
To stay
Physiological disdain
You're ugly go away
But the voice still sways
On the breeze beyond the rain
And we still slay
All our demons unchained
Covered the blood stains
Now the end has something to say
Before this hell will quell
The screams, and let you begin again

Begin again

Now for the masterpiece
Flatter me in this disaster
Remnants shattered amongst
The empty hearts scattered
Like broken glass along the last turn
When the wind whispers you dreams of dreams
When your metal skeleton careens and flings
Every chance you had to be
Something more than steel and gasoline
Burn down the end is coming out
Somewhere between a whisper and shout
Turn on your own flesh and feel me now
Somehow it doesn't seem the way to be
As the poison flits from hummingbird to bee
Before dripping from the lips
Of our own idiosyncrasies

Masterpiece
Disaster, peace
I refuse to see to believe
At least not with the eyes
That the angel granted me
Slanted and sleek
Bright blue fires burning
Images into a photographic memory
I'm dying to try it
Would you like to die some with me
Try some with me
Lines of lust and the purest dust
Make love
Then fuck away the memory
Discarded like the paper hearts
That cut your fingertips and tongue
Seal the envelope
And send it to no one
Burn the embers
Chase the end of her
With a cyanide shot for your own displeasure

Now for the masterpiece, do you remember me

Of course you do
Or do you
Did the memory fade
Like the songs that we played
As junkies
Now sober and strong
We sing to the empty room
That once filled for us
With voices and chaos and trust
We emptied our souls
Put holes in our brains
And filled them with guilt and filth
And all of the innocence we've killed
A toxic spill, radioactive will
You fill me, break me if I'll be
Your pinata of the unclean
Your fragmented pictures and gritted teeth
Will you bring me back to the sutures
That desert of screams and dreams
And destructive tendencies
Will you bring me back to the unseen
Who is buried within me
But can never be
Ever me

Never, never me.
