I See You

I see you in the little death
Of cells, the way we break free
From Hell, like a freight train through
Your mountains, I'm coming in
At full steam, I don't need to see
What's around the bend, just what you're keeping
Inside, these nights driving blind
Have me thinking in street signs, there's
No turning back now, when I crash into
Your skin, we'll call this the beginning
It's always been, I see you in
That little corset, pretending
You're hopeless, when the whole world waits
At your window, I'll come in through
Your secret doors, rise up from
The cold floor, the places
You never expected to face
Before, I see you in
The bitter kiss, the liqour on my lips
I know you'll burn my throat
On the way in, so I saved this
Breath, to inhale these poisons
When I leave
You'll be dirty as the snow
Where you buried this
I see you in the exhaled smoke
Of this cigarette, while I'm sitting on the porch
Thinking up new ways
To give in, my little death
In her blood-red corset
I see you in my end.
