Aquaria

A cloud of soft cotton danced
O'er bronzed catches of sand
Whose dunes climbed to the heavens
In sculpting her sweet flesh
As the sun peered through ripples in time
Frozen in place, a trickling waterfall
Of grace, and if you listened
You might hear her whisper
"A tear amidst oceans," she'd say
As marigold and maroon collapsed
Into seafoams and sweet blues
A Dahli landscape of shapeless wonders
Who stretched their arms from
Landscape to lover
Echoing the flow and ebb
Of nature's ecstasy
As she stared into a timeless world
She stood there by the ocean wall
And carved her name in brine
Hemispheric indentations upon still life
And if you listened,
You might hear her whisper
"Remember me, in time."
If you listened
You might hear her whisper
And remember why sweet Aquaria
Cried.
